Born out of the open jam at King and Queen, by two artists from seemingly opposite ends of the musical spectrum, A New Ground combines classically inspired folk melodies and structures with pop hooks and jazz rhythms. After touring their debut album Forge The Sky across Canada 2018 - 2019, A New Ground hit the studio just in time for the pandemic. Now, after much creation and artistic expression, A New Ground is preparing to release their sophomore album Connected this year. You can hear their first release from the alum here:
On stage, A New Ground is known for performing a wide variety of styles, including traditional Celtic music and instrumental renditions of pop/rock songs. You can hear some of this variety here:
